lake county,ill members

i was wondering how many members on here live in lake county,IL besides myself and old tin? i have been helping him with his challange cars and we did a little work on mine this past weekend? anyone else want to help us out or working on something for racing to need some help even if its holding your beer.....

I live in Batavia and would be game for helping. Not sure how much help I could be though, my work schedule has been all over the place these last few weeks.

Dupage county here.... planning on trying to live in my garage for the next couple months on my track car and if that gets done... my challenge car for 2010/2011... or if/when it gets done.

I'm in cook county FAR north side of the city. My buddy drives down here almost every day to help out at my warehouse or futz with his car.

I have an 86 bmw 535i - doing DD duty now - it is capable of an arrive and drive at the challenge (it's done about 4k miles in my hands - could drive to Gainesville in this one) - but it would be better with a few mods - lower, ltd slip, lightened and perhaps themed (there's a fantasy in there with bavarian barmaids and an oompah band, but I digress...) - it's dull bronzit beige - blech - but kinda invisible for DD. It could make it in Caveman class or sub $1000 or ....just add boosts.

Also have a 72 MGB that was a dns last year. Budget is probably blown, but it's going anyway - it's the principle. Probably needs 80 -100 hrs. Mostly minor fabrication - headers, shock tabs, etc. and creating an unorthodox clutch set up (pneumatic over hydraulic with flappy paddle actuator). I have a track session booked in July for it - so this one has some time issues.

I'm taking a couple days off (see poke in the eye with sharp stick thread). Otherwise in the garage on the weekends and most evenings. Help, teammates, company is welcome.

Eye is pretty much good to go - yea antibiotics and steroids. I think cko and I are hitting the pick n pull in Wadsworth on Sunday (1/2 price weekend). He's looking for a trans (th 350ish). Keeping my eyes peeled for bmw e34s for big brake upgrade and lsd. The more the merrier or need anything?

Fun trip! It was my first time at a pick and pull. It got hot mid-day and I folded, but I still had a good time.

I drove by there at about 11:30 on my way to Zion. I wanted to stop but my wife would've killed me. We were on the way to have lunch with my Uncle and Brother. Family stuff all day today.
