Ok, I've been playing with my pontiac for about a year now and I love it, but it isn't my only car. My other half owns a 2009 Corolla base. It's camel spit brown, completely stock we call it the anonymous car.
I know literally nothing about it. It drives fine. It's an acceptable car but it commits the worst possible sin a car can commit: It's boring.
I have to replace a broken oil dipstick this weekend which will require removing the intake manifold because Japanese cars. This will be the first time I've had to work on it in 2 years.
what do we know about these things?

You know more than i do. I lost track after the 2003 redesign. Newest one i ever owned was a 1999.
Wait, i know the puerto rican dudes around here like to stance them. So there is that.
Beyond that, they're simple, small, and toyota. Will probably outlast your grandchildren if you're not in the rust belt.
I know that my old 1976 Corolla with the 3TC/2TC built Frankenstein engine was WAAAAYYY faster and hella more fun than any 2009 rolla will ever be
It is what it is, reliable dirt cheap transportation. Nothing inspiring, but it's a damn good appliance. The wife and I have owned 3 ranging from 98' 01' and 03' with the exception of my 01', I've never had any issues with them.
I think you said all you need to know about it. Camel brown, boring, haven't worked on it in 2 years. Yep, it's a 'rolla. 40 years from now, someone will be on this board posting about how they picked up a 2009 camel brown Corolla for less than Challenge money and how it just refuses to die.
My lady Autocrossed it this weekend. She came in very last...
