Dying to hear more on the SVT 1/9. Share what your bringing, talk some trash, can't make it this year, but the F2T MX-3 will be back again soon. I've got it pretty well sorted since $2012.

Bringing a 1999 Saab 9-3. Hope to be close to my goal 300hp/3000lbs/$1000. It's gonna have some fancy styling that will probably be polarizing. It is a saab after all.
Currently trying to find room in the budget for used drag slicks in addition to the 245 A7's I will be running. Stock and worn out suspension though, maybe a rear bar and some chassis stiffening if I find the time.
Already have thrown down some bets for beer (the kind of bet where everybody wins...)
2002 Infiniti Q45 340hp hoping to diet down to 3300lbs. Main performance mod will be changing the rear end to LSD and gears hopefully in the mid 3s from 2.70. Cosmetics are needed and hope to be done. I'll be running 275/35/18 slicks. All this at a target of 1/4 budget.
I am bringing two.
One is a 2001 Honda Odyssey with Cusco coilovers, a serious gutting, cold air intake and a set of BFG R1's mounted on 16x8 FD wheels.
The other one will be built in the parking lot Thursday. It is a LT1 / T56 F Body that we are converting to a Ghetto / Trailerpark cet. Think no body panels, roll cage. 275 Inch Autocross tires mounted to 17x9.5 wheels. Shooting for 2500 lbs. With a 150 shot we are hoping for 400 plus HP. It should be pretty cool... or terrible depending on how Thursday goes.
Hard Gutted LS400 with a Chinese HX40W turbo and a welded diff. That is basically all we can afford to do to it. Budget is low but we are broke. Anyone who wants this car or parts off it, let me know because I have to get it off my trailer by Huntsville AL for something cool that is going home with me. I would REALLY appreciate some coin but it has to go. We may just cut it up and take the engine home but then would need some help disposing of the body... that sounds funny.
we're still battling gazillions of dirt daubers. And then we have to tackle significant body repair. Then replace suspension bushings. Then............................
Im bringing my 1990 Caravan which is in its 10th year with me and has devolved into a huge E36 M3pile of a vehicle that nevertheless is probably going to run 5 seconds faster than stock in the 1/4 mile and will absolutely dominate the minivan class if none of the other serious builds show up. I had the distinct advantage of being such a Dork in the GRM sense that i built a Challenge-esque van of my own volition and had it mostly done before the van class was announced.
An 84 caprice If I can find time to get it done, get time off of work for the over 2k miles each way road trip, find a dog sitter for my dog( unless.....the race way won't let dogs sit in the stands with my gf will it?)
It will be my first challenge so the caprice may not be as modded as possible, it could be a basic shakedown cruise if you will
I have been getting up early to work on the truck.
It goes something like this.
1 hour before work challenge car.
9 hrs work.
5 hrs rehab house.
Sleep and repete.
Weekends rehab only.
Slowly getting done. Plan on paint around the first of Sept. It should be done out gassing by challenge.
The car is a f150 sbc powered. 700r4
I'm bringing a car with 4 wheels and tires! Hopefully it runs. Will definitely be a top 50 finisher.
We wanted to bring a car that has not been done before, so while that is being built we stumbled upon a '94 Miata R. It's very, very close to an E-stock car (full interior, etc.)...but it does mean we get to participate. Yeah! Valve Cover Racing, that's where we could be a threat. :-)
I'm so looking forward to seeing the Vans.
I'm one of the crazy people bringing a minivan. Build Thread here. And it has somehow morphed from an engine and manual transmission swap into the '96 Chevy Lumina APV to "let's drop the body of the van over the chassis of a '06 Pontiac G6 GTP coupe".
Eventually this:
plus this:
should be awesome and resemble a more complete version of this (at only 5 feet tall):
1996 Acura Integra SE
I am about halfway done with the first version of my build. It will not be fast but it should handle. The combination of being a full time stay at home dad and dealing with slight disabilities has made this a very, very difficult (but rewarding) project for me. Essentially, I paid $600 for a beat on POS that came with $1k in pretty decent parts...
Full energy suspension bushing kit is (finally!) installed along with good springs and shocks. Keeping it naturally aspirated but with a few breathing mods for the little, non-vtec honda. I am trying to tidy up the body so that it is at least 'race car' acceptable and in my typical fashion the interior is a bit 'interesting'. Tires will likely be less than stellar since they have to get it there and back (1600 miles) but I can squeeze 225s under it and dial in all of the camber.
The majority of the work ahead will be stiffening up the chassis a bit more and looking for a few more horses. I really want to get it back on the road shortly so I can give it a thorough shakedown.
Finishing some else's project is a lot of fun with moments of both 'A HA' and 'WTF' in abundance. If I like it enough I will keep it for a new hill climber and throw on a couple of turbos...
