My (former) 1983 Civic wagon suggested a curb weight of 1650-1720lbs.

This seems remarkable, it's lighter than my 1985 CRX.

I have looked at this about 3 times on FB market place. I need to finish a project or two before I buy anything else. But I really like how it looks and it runs and drives unlike what is currently in my shop ha ha.

VW squareback is around 2200 lbs apparently.

I don't think any Civic Wagon ever was 1600lbs when the lightest CRXs were ~1800.  The lightest wagon i've personally owned was probably a Dodge Aries wagon that should have been about ~2650.

A 122 volvo wagon is probably pretty light.  Although I'm biased as I adore them.

In the small British category, if you are into vintage I can recommend the Morris vans and trucks.

One racing friend (sadly no longer with us) used to race this pickup with a very hot 1340 cc A series engine, out of Portland.

This is the kind of silly conversation I come here for, thank you!

I had no idea those Saturn wagons were so light!

I've got a few pics of that Morris pickup running a SOVREN event at Pacific Raceway a few years ago. I specifically remember it because it was honestly one of my favorites cars to watch of everything there...I think I literally giggled out loud just about every time it came tearing by.

Tarting up a Morris Traveller (wagon) would be fantastic as well...In addition to being RWD, I'm seeing it listed in the 1750 lb range.

VW Fox wagon?  Just saw one posted the other day

I have always wanted to see a 1.8T or 2.0T powered AWD Fox.  And yes, I know Foxes are longitudinal, not transverse, but still... would be an awesome tiny beast.

Not sure what the Cavalier wagon weighed, but it can't be too heavy. The last few years could be had with the 3.1 V6 and 5 speed if you checked the right boxes. Yes, I have seen one.
