The Lexus GTD #12 just caught fire on its way out of the pits.

There were a few fans riding around the infield on them but I haven't seen any in the pits.

I thought I heard them say it was a plenum fire caused by some debris getting caught in there?
Meant to post this last night: our first-class dining accommodations featuring $7 corn dogs. The dude behind the counter once did tree work for JG and knew our Corvette Z06 project car.

Yea, what was that? Based on the clock before the 2 to go, they certainly had one more lap before that checker.

I don't see it changing the results, Nasar really drove the traffic brilliantly to stretch the lead to over a second. But it was odd.

Overall probably but 2nd and 3rd in 2 other classes were within striking distance of one another. LMP and GTD within tenths for third.

In the end, this mattered. Not often does a faster single stop in a 24 hour race matter, but this was the once.
Wow, missed this thread until now. Currently out of the circuit and heading for the airport. What an amazing race. I wasn't part of the GRM experience, but went with some friends. Will read this thread and write some thoughts later.
One thing. My last 24 hour race was LeMans 94, and what did I see yesterday in the infield? The same Dauer Porsche 962 I saw win in 94, and today I got to see its great grandchild the 963 win

That's awesome! There were a lot of cool cars in the fan zone, hearing them all fire up Saturday was a highlight of my weekend.
Ok, GRM, we need you to put your official media credentials to work- what was up with that early checkered flag.
You'll need to log in to post.
