I don't run, but that was still more comfortable than transits in the CRX.
Next year I should bring better shoes.

Costs have definitely changed in the nearly 20 years since I've run One Lap. When I ran in 2007, the budget was $6-7000 and it was pretty easy to hit that or go under. Entry fee was either $2000 or $2500 I think. With a $4000 entry fee I'd think a $9-10,000 budget is realistic and you'll probably come home with a bit of cash left over...
Andy finished 15th in the morning session--nicely done!
While we wait for the afternoon, we hitched a ride from the Toyota team to the trackside shop. There, we had our spare tire (mounted on a 15x8 wheel) transferred to our front wheel (15x9). They didn't have any tires in stock, but we're weighing the benefits of stopping at a local tire shop on our way out of the track to buy any round/black tire in that size as our new spare vs. running without a spare and catching up on sleep tonight.
Is there any option to repair the A052 with the nail in it, via a patch or plug?
I can understand not wanting to do it on a race tire, but figured I would ask anyway
Success! Currently 15th in afternoon sessions. Time to convert the car to transit mode and hit the road.
Of course, the rain stopped almost instantly and the track is now drying, meaning our competition running later may have better conditions. Welcome to One Lap.
In other news, the drag race tonight is cancelled due to rain.

No--we completely killed the sidewall limping the car to a safe enough place to stop (was on the highway with jersey barriers all around and no shoulder). That A052 is done.
I think we're in Ohio? Found a coffee shop for a caffeine stop. It's sort of like a Dunkin' but worse in every way. (I said what I said.)
We can't drink coffee inside the building, as that would take too long, so instead we're pouring boiling coffee all over the CRX's interior. At least it's rinsing off Andy's spilled electrolyte powder from Wednesday.

In reply to Tom Suddard :
I agree, Tim Hortons is overrated, tried it twice and the coffee was just okay.
