some place on this forum i saw a great idea.
putting a logo patch on a rip in your seat.
my new to me midget has mostly good seat covers. replacing them now isn't in the "agreed upon swmbo" budget. its easy to find lots of sizes of MG logo patches and midget patches.
i do not really want to sew them on. more holes in vinyl seems like a bad idea on old seats with unkown aged covers.
What glue? contact cement (both sides)? iron on? "fabric glue"?
There are even some 6 or 8 inch embroidered patches that could be used to make the seats "fancy" if i center them on the seat back
And now I know what that is.
What is barge cement?

Barge All Purpose Cement is a professional strength glue (adhesive) that can be used on leather, rubber and vinyl. Ideal for patching rubber boots, resole leather shoes, boots, wood, rubber, metal, plastic, plaster, paper, concrete and much, more!

I bought some 3M super 77 adhesive to try and fix a couple of vinyl boat seats where the vinyl was shrinking and ripping the stitches out of the vinyl by gluing on extra vinyl boat upholstery over but alas never got around to trying so I can't say how it worked.
