I watched a dirt late model race on TV the other night. One of the faster guys in the class broke (I think) a tie rod and his inside front wheel was locked on full turn. Why they didn't black flag him I don't know, but just after it happened he charged hard from fourth, took the lead and won the race through a couple of restarts and qualified for the main.

The last Venue in Ga.I know of was the Peach Bowl In Downtown Atlanta, closed around 67=8 but if you drive through Dawsonville they are on every Corner, Really! Static display's but so Cool.
