The Sloppy Mechanics guys seem amazing. The narrator? Ahem.

What happened to the original engine?
I don't think Happel was directly involved in this one. This was Justin Kramer's doing, who does happen to be a friend of Happel's as far as I know.
Build videos for this rig are on Kramer's channel, Fuel Injection Sucks. I might link them when I get home to a computer if nobody beats me to it.
Running the boost they do, I wonder if there is really any difference between a 5.3 and a 4.8. Perhaps the 4.8 might even be a tad bit stronger? Happel likes 4.8’s. Cletus Mcfarlan (spelling) was running one in his junkyard race Vette. It was in the 9’s last time I watched his channel. And would it be worth going to a 6.0 in something as heavy as a Winny?
I followed this build on fuel injection sucks YouTube Chanel.
They do great stuff and are currently putting a turbo atlas in a checker cab!

Cletus ran a mid 9 on the 5.3(which then spun a cam bearing). He then ran a 9.07 on the 4.8 which burnt a plug wire halfway through the run in his latest video so a 9.07 on 7 cylinders basically.
I've watched this video like 3 times since it was put on youtube, and it's made me look at cheap RVs so I can hit Wasteland Weekend in style.

You know, I'm not sure. That 0.5L can make up for a lot, but I know some 4.8s can rev higher.
Here tho? 10,000lbs. is a lot of weight for a 4.8 to carry. I think that displacement is needed.
