I'll be trackside as usual. Got a beach front Airbnb booked last week.
We will see if the state of TX is going to renew their funding for 2022. The contract is not signed for the COTA race yet.

Does anybody remember the Caesars Place parking lot GP in 81-82? The Dallas GP next to the Cotton in July 84? Maybe this parking lot track will be better, but they don't have a very good track record. It does have the Miami location benefit so there's that. Certainly better than Dallas in July, I was there, and it was hot. They had to repair the asphalt in some corners overnight from the cars breaking it up.
Not sure if I will make it or not, it's like 30-40' from home so I can wait.
I wish they had it by Bayfront Park like they used to have the CART races.

Of course he says that publicly. There is a lot of resentment within Texas of the state spending money on the race and my friends that work for COTA are a little less optimistic. Hopefully the fact that all of the tickets are sold out and there should be record attendance this year help to paint a good picture.

30 to 40 feet? Yeah I don't know if I'd want to travel that far. LOL

Minutes ... but yeah, not that much into F1 nowadays.
Holy carp - the pre-sale tickets sold out in 4hrs at $600+ for general admission and $1500+ for grandstand tickets. Holy bejeebus that is pricier than Monaco? Maybe we swap it to Montreal vs Miami. Already have a great hotel deal locked in and will wait for official sale of tickets to pull the plug....
Yup. The draw of Miami+F1+Latam is huge. I know people coming from just about every country in the americas.
In reply to sergio :
I didn't go to either of them but having seen CART at the Meadowlands I'm glad I went to Austin instead.

I don't think that most people here would pay that much. Just to get pit road and the garage tour means at a minimum paddock club which is usually $1K+ per person.
