Looking for something a bit more "vintage" than your standard NA Miata hardtop? Well, look no further:
As it turns out, the roof of a Volvo PV544 fits nicely on a Miata. With some modification, this could be a great GT automobile!
Buy it now! It's sitting on my property waiting for a good home! Seven hundred bucks, with or without the awesome roof...but you'd be a FOOL not to take it!

I was thinking more like a big Mini Marcos.
Could be the perfect el cheapo answer for a Lemons Miata needing a roof.
And a way to get your cheaty-arse Miata past BS inspection!
Somebody post pics of the 2 cars in question. I chop them when I get home.
I've thought about doing something similar with an old RX-7 or Escort GT Hatchback roof.
I did a photoshop of a Miata with a roof from another car years ago. I think it was the Ford ZX2. Looked pretty good, but I had to cheat too much with the scaling.
Aha! Doesn't look as good as I remembered.
I dig the Maxi Marcos Miata.
The width on the PV544 roof is almost perfect. It's a bit too tall, but a little trimming here and there and it'd be doable.
SOLD the Miata. Without the hardtop, to an Exocet builder.
There is a guy (John) in the Atlanta region SCCA who runs an NA with an unusual hard top like this. It flows back to the trunk and looks like a hatchback. Really cool - I would love to find one like it

That looks really good. Looks like it involves a new trunklid and a hardtop.
The Miaro Chump car team cut theirs off of a Neon and hammered it to fit.
