1994 Miata. Two of my PPF bolts have pitting on them. Should I trust it, or run to the hardware store and look for grade 8 or grade 10 bolts. FWIW the whole car is full or rust so not surprised by this...
That's pretty common, as they're exposed in the middle. I don't find it terribly worrisome.
10 years ago I saw this way worse on cars that were in competition. Not my cars...
Run 'em. I'd have a lot more confidence in those than I would hardware store fasteners.
