Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't prefer wireless charging in the car. I'm sure it's great if I'm not using my phone to play music or anything while I'm in the car.
Otherwise, yeah. It just gets concerningly hot.

Sadly, I am also in the "no manual = not interested" camp. One of my local MINI friends recently bought one of the last JCW cars he could get with a manual. I seriously thought about but the configurator won't let me build a car I actually want to own, regardless of price, manual or not.
I do kinda like the interior - gives me original Mini vibes even more so than my R53. Right now, only a classic Mini may replace my R53, unless I somehow stumble across the 2007 R52 my ex- and I had and sold in 2013.

The 2002 Cooper S had a MSRP of $19,850.
Adjust for inflation, and that's $34,171.38 today. I think these things have somehow gotten cheaper.
Somewhat unrelated, I saw one of these yesterday for the first time. The color combo is awesome! Found out it's the Ice Blue edition.

The one part that has needed replacement on every Mini I've owned.

My 2013 JCW had a sticker price of over $45k, before destination and all that stuff. Glad someone else paid that so I could have it years later with the proper depreciation... lol!
As for the new one, it's really just a mild refresh of the current chassis cars. The EV MINI is it's own chassis. Still not enough battery power, and the JCW version doesn't look to be an added power version of the base, like we were originally promised. I'd like to be wrong on that, however.
