Fortunately, not me. But it could of been.
Guy is driving N on Jane Street in what looks like a recently restored silver GTO. He's behind me in the MINI, there is a cab in front of me, and we are in the left lane. I move over into the right lane when the pedestrian signal at the nearby school goes off. I stop and the cab now next to me stops. I hear the unmistakable tire screech, and then thud. The GTO didn't stop and plowed right into the cab. The front end is a mess. It looked like everyone was OK.
If I hadn't moved over, the MINI would be toast now.
Be careful out there.
That's gotta suck. I saw a beautifully restored 1965 or 1966 Mustang getting towed away from having hit the center wall of the freeway. That's the danger of driving things we have so much love poured into. At least it went out from use and not from rot..
It was many years ago, but I once came across an accident here in Spartanburg, where two elderly black gents in a huge old caddy had rear ended a classic Ferrari at a red light.
