My new Zx2 brakes are in a UPS warehouse due to a holiday. Still trying to figure what these said "holidays" are.

My guess is that he's like me, and that doesn't get holidays off, not that he's disparaging the importance of said holiday.
I'm sitting in an airport right now on a business trip - I know how he feels.
me too... just finished working myself. The Full timers get time and a half today.. so all the Casuals work because the casinos do not want to pay the fulltimers.
At least your brakes broke in a way that allowed you to stop and get home
