Thank you, feedyurhed. I agree with you.

Raze, I think I saw your car. Was it decked out in race gear? Seems like I saw one that had some sort of decal work on it. And I plan on hitting these meets up on a more regular basis.

And to you, poopshovel, I'm going to try to get there again this year. Hopefully with the whole GZ guys.

Thanks for the PS-ed pic, sir. Well done!!

You're right, at the very least it would need a filler panel, that's a fugly hole left behind there! I guess it's the crooked bumper tips/end caps that are throwing me off, the bumper itself isn't that bad, but the crooked ends jump out at me on such a clean car with such nice lines. Since you have the Adam Malley air dam, why not duplicate the bumper look too? I have no idea what his bumper was, but I bet you do...

Just to be clear, I'm not trying to knock you at all, I really like the car. Makes me jones for my long gone '79 Accord LX hatch. I like old Hondas!

What a beautiful car. My mom had a 1980 Civic which she bought brand new and I remember going everywhere in the back seat of that car as a kid. I remember one time I was really sick and threw up in it too, lol.

That car ended up becoming my first car in the early 90s and was the car I learned how to drive in.

About two years ago I spent the afternoon with Oscar Jackson and his son, I am sure you know who they are. And he was telling stories of back in the day when he used to travel every other friday to Canada from California and pick up cylinder heads as they were different and bumped the HP considerably (probably non CVCC). He has one just like yours set-up for racing.

Raze, if you're a regular at C&O, I'll be sure to stop by and say hey next time.

Nashco, yeah that space behind the bumper is rough, lolol. Adam's bumper is actually 75-77 bumper turned upside down. I like that bumper because it doesn't have the bumper ends. That one end cap irritates me. The are behind it where the bolt goes in to hold it on is busted so I can't secure it. Been looking for a comparative condition one for a while now.

Slippery, you're one reason why I love driving this every day. It definitely elicits nostalgic feelings everywhere. People at the C&O meet, driving Lambos and Ferraris and such were stopping me to reminisce, lolol.

Yessir, even if I don't bring the Merkur or the Fiat, I usually go, there's always one or two 'surprises' every event. This past one, I was quite happy to see your Civic and a Fiat 130 Coupe freshly imported from Italy, both were totally unexpected!

I would love me a 130 coupe... almost as much as a Dino Coupe

Doing great, haven't seen you since maybe a Batlground dyno day in 07 or so. Time flies. I notice the two little holes in the front fender, is that for the cvcc emblem?

^Yes! My buddy's 77 Ranchero GT had an 8 track player with a Queen 8 track stuck in there and nothing else but Bicycle Ride and Another one bites the dust would play in it, so we did burnouts and listened to those over and over.

Haha. Well at least it was two songs that you could get in to.

I picked up the 8 track today and will have it all installed next week.
