Our local dragstrip that was supposed to open tonight just posted this on their Facebook page:
"Wednesday night May 20th, We regret to inform everyone that due to a last minute call from Cecil County Authorities we will NOT BE OPEN TONIGHT. We are trying to work through the situation and hopefully it will be resolved soon! We will keep everyone posted as to what progress is being made." :(

I'm going to an autocross tomorrow in Jacksonville. The four other clubs that I race with are all still on hold.
The closest track is Daytona international Speedway. They're going to be running IMSA on July 4th.
Brooksville with PCA mid June, but that instantly filled up within a day, even without Covid-19, it would have filled that fast lol.
I did a track event at the FIRM this past weekend.
The FIRM is a blast to drive, hopefully I'll have my car running in the next couple days to be there next week.

I was planning to attend the new track meeting, but held off due to possible crap weather. Hoping to see some actual information on what they wanted to pitch. Saw the overhead track layout, and it looks like a lot of tight turns.
Please keep us updated on this.
Depending on the weather tommorow, I might be posting some pics from out dirt track pratice this weekend. Depends on mother nature.

Their GPS mapping also shows a ton of elevation change. I can't remember if it was 120' or 160'. I think Hallett has somewhere around 85-90' of elevation change.
TT Nationals is at CMP this weekend. I just sent my wife off with my car to run it. Hopefully they both come back in one piece.
Local dirt track was planning on doing their normal practice and season opener in April but like any Pa. spring got rained out.
They have since opened w/ lawn chair, grandstand and drive-in parking spots for viewing. Social distancing is in effect.
Besides their normal classes they'll bring in other classes if enough car count. Doing a Saturday and Sunday show this weekend for the extra classes. Win.

Word has it that Slinger Speedway near Milwaukee is opening this weekend, weather permitting. Unfortunately, I don’t live up that way, and tracks are much less plentiful near Cincinnati where I am now living. Around here, I have not heard of any pending action.

I knew it was going to be a E36 M3show on opening night but I never imagined it would go that far. I saw that article and some of the videos on instagram last night. Hopefully it is a bit of a wake up call for the track so they up their enforcement of the rules and clamp down on the number of cars at an event. There have always been yahoo's at these event but Wednesday it seems like they got a bunch of yahoo's (in the words of our Premier lol) all together at once. Hopefully what happened there doesn't ruin it for everyone else across the province.
For now we are still on to start testing runs tomorrow at Woodburn.
By invitation (numbers are limited) and no spectators and we have to use masks if we interact with any of the staff.
And if I understand right it will be available everyday until the track fully opens.
I went to a track in Ohio on Saturday, and it was a bit too normal - no masks, no helmets in the pits, no attempt to maintain distance. At least they had an outdoor sink for handwashing.

Where, specifically, in Ohio?
This past sat we had practice at Wilmot raceway and things did not go well at all for us. I did not get out there in time. but mother nature had to put her two cents in and ruin every ones night. Seems we had some drivers drive over two hours to get some practice in and all for nothing. We are running a new practice this next sat night also with out the stand open. This is on south east Wisconsin.
From our local dirt track FB page, May 26:
So today we received a phone call from the State Police letting us know that there has been several complaints by one person about us racing. Another promoter is upset that we are racing. We have been politely asked to shut down for this coming weekend and resume the weekend of June 5th so that they don’t have to give us a fine or worse because they will not let it go. We apologize to the drivers and all of the fans for the inconvenience of the situation. We will see everyone on June 5th when our county is to go green!!!!!!
They'd been racing several weeks already.
Tired to sign up for autox. Wife found out 130 people are signed up. Gives her anxiety for me to attend so. Guess I won't be
