Heart Like a Wheel
There is a crew cab '70s dodge power wagon around here that I've been a day late to buy three times. I love it for its beastliness. Since I've been so close I'm Going to sit the next one out and see if there is something else going on here, lol.
this is a funny time for this to come up.
i've got a suburban and was contemplating turning it into a crew cab with a short bed. but i think i don't want to deal with all the work.

Berking beautiful! Looks like a NAPCO, too.

Also appears in "Fire in the Sky".
From 67-72 I think you could get a Suburban / panel truck in 2-3-or 4 door bodies. I've seen all 3 types. My Dad had a 3 door '70. I learned to drive in that truck. MANUAL drum brakes all around, MANUAL steering and 4-speed muncie MANUAL trans. 292 6 cylinder. Only a MAN could like driving it. I did.

67 was the first year a suburban had more than 3 doors, before that they were just a panel truck with windows. 67-72 suburbans were only made with 3 doors, and you could also get a 2 door panel (very rare now). The only other body styles were the blazer/jimmy and the various pickup trucks (1/2 ton short/long fleetside/stepside 2wd/4x4, same for 3/4 ton plus the longhorn with an extra 6 inches added to the front of the bed, and 1 ton dually or single wheel 9 foot stepside, plus some I forgot im sure).
