Here's hoping it works out. That's an amazing deal. Did you ask about salvage / rebuilt title history?

Flying to a buy here pay here car lot in Louisiana during a flood of historic proportion... I think your wife's pregnancy hormones are influencing your brain...
Make sure to wear a Buckeyes ball cap for a super deal. And bring a pistol.

So, the Automotive equivalent of 'nesting'?
That could be a thing...
I'd suggest donating to the red cross or something as your tip to the area. They've had a rough week and that's putting it lightly :(
WOW - Interesting thoughts gents. The Red Cross Donation is a definite. Don't think I'll be carrying on my visit although I'm doing it in daylight hours.
Well, just tried again. Nobody there and the CTS is not there. I think this is my last opportunity for a while.
Maybe they keep the nice stuff elsewhere. Looking at the website the OP linked there is some really nice/pricey stuff they are selling.

Yep, thanks. High and dry, no meaningful impact.

Appreciate all your help sir. It seems they keep the nice stuff at a warehouse close - I'm guessing they store it at their wholesale seller (a buddy does that). I'm Flying in Friday morning and driving her back (fingers crossed).
Try to enter the situation such that they know that you're looking for any excuse to not buy the car. If they know that you flew in just to "look at it", they already know they've got you. It's a poker game and you need to keep your cards covered. Are you planning to have someone - preferably a GM dealer - go over the car? Don't let excitement make you blind to mechanical issues.
This doesn't give me warm and fuzzies. When a popular car at a used car dealership seems too good to be true, it is.
Great points guys. I am admittedly gambling and we all know the rate at which the house wins. With that said. -verified vehicle physically exist -verified title history -verified legitimacy of the dealer -setup for dealer PPI in town pre purchase -out nothing other than airline miles and my time -have weighed concern for being shanked/robbed with desire to own ctsv
Lol - Mrs. 84FSP is a tad concerned but otherwise tolerates my automotive insanity...
Thanks for the encouragement sir! At the point of being both excited and nervous it will fall apart on me at the last minute. Have to harass my boy Floyd today and do my best to ensure it's legit...
What's your exit strategy if you don't buy the car? Have a realistic plan so you negotiate seriously and walk away if nessesary.
In reply to jimbob_racing:
The exit plan involves an uber ride 9 miles back to the airport and another flight on my airline miles home. There are about 6 available flights are that are convenient and get me home at a reasonable hour. Biggest issue is if it takes a long time Friday before the deal falls apart and I miss a lot fo the flight options. Worst case will hotel it or snooze at the airport.
You can point out that there is a nice black ATS at the "Yes" place a quarter mile west. I pulled in there briefly when I was trying to find the right place.

HAH - will do it. There is an ISF at the same lot that is my second choice if by some freak event the Caddy is sold.

I'll be in the area tomorrow, hopefully, I'd love to meet up and buy dinner/beers if you can? Understand completely if you can't.
You'll need to log in to post.
