My boat is missing a piece of the windshield frame and it is no longer available. I've had zero luck finding anyone that can roll/form a replacement, maybe someone here knows someone?
the other half that didn't blow off on the highway, I need a mirror copy of it or something close.

I'd guess that's just a piece of relatively common aluminum extrusion. If you google it based on dimensions I think you'll find what you need. Then it's just getting it bent to the correct shape, and fortunately you have a template to work from.
Something like this? I didn't look for the exact part, just a boat junkyard on teh googles.

What's the year and model of the boat?

Yup, I can find the aluminum no problem, it's getting rolled and bent that's the issue. I've had zero luck there. Taylor made no longer makes it but would be happy to make me a new complete windshield. $$$

It's a 1986 Formula 206LS, the windshield is a TaylorMade Water Bonnet 2625 which was used on several boats of this era. Problem is I can't find a single one. Thanks.
I don't even care it's just some flat stock that someone can roll and bend for me. I've had no luck there too surprisingly. I'm going to go boat shopping with the windshield piece I have and if a new boat has something bent and rolled close to it I may try to order that boat's frame.
Currently, I have 5/8" heater hose that I split up the middle slid over the top of the windshield wrapped in aluminum tape just so it looks like it has a frame. I've thought about pulling the hole top of the frame off and make it look like a speedster style windshield. I'm worried about losing the glass in rough waters due to the lack of support.
The crappy thing is this happened on the highway on the drive home from purchasing the boat, it soured me on the whole boat really even though the rest of the boat is really clean.
I'm going to ask a hot rod shop that's local too, maybe they can make something.
The Locost book has plans/directions on how to make a windshield frame bender out of basically scrap.

WELCOME TO BOAT OWNERSHIP. In my experience if doesn't get any better!
If you are anywhere northeast PA, I have a tubing roller, a wire roller and a sheet metal roller. I'm sure that with a piece of extrusion, the template from the other side and the actual boat here at the shop, it's do-able. Just an offer to give it a shot.

I've had a post on there since the day it happened, haven't had any luck there either although I haven't checked it in a while.

This is actually my third boat I've owned. I sold my beautiful new boat and with the profits bought this and a side by side. I miss the trouble free ownership of a new boat, well, right until it's no longer trouble free.
I'm near Albany NY but vacation with the boat at Lake Wallenpaupack and wouldn't be against making a special trip with the boat just to get this made. I really appreciate your offer, can I send you a PM to further discuss offline?

Is it a section shape that could be made up from flat bar and TIG welded?
I would think its easier to make a complete top cap and not try to match the other side ,
it would give you more options ,

Yes it is. I just haven't found someone to do it yet. I left it with a guy last year with a guy for two weeks because he said he could do it only for him to call me to say he couldn't. I was bummed.
Feel free to PM me, we can exchange phone numbers and talk about the possibilities.
If it were mine, I like the look w/o any trim on top. I would remove the glass, reinstall it with some urethane windshield sealant so it won't go anywhere and make a small piece to go at the top of the center and side supports. Glue those on as well. Maybe even a small support rod from the center support to the fiberglass dash just for a piece of mind.

This place near me has a lot of 80's vintage boats in what appears to be a wrecking yard. If they can help you but won't ship, I can swing by and pick it up. They look like the kind of place that is just janky enough for something like this to be worth their while

I was going to remove the top rail completely, get some black edge trim for it and make it a speedster but a coworker who works on boats suggested against it. He thought I'd be taking too much integrity away and would break or lose the glass.
Now if I use the urethane sealant maybe it would, solve that. The other thing with removing the entire top rail is I'd have to cut down the uprights because they stick about 3/4" above the glass which looks funny. That would mean no going back if I ever found the piece. But with a 35 y.o. boat the chances of finding it may be slim.
It does have a center support that runs from the dash to the top of the windshield.
I'm going to send you a pm in a few, and thanks again for the help.

I used to live up that way. There is a boat builder on the mouth of the Normanskill Creek in Albany. They do high end work and restorations, but maybe they will make that pice for you. It's called Scarano Boat Building.
You boat looks better than my 2006 Four Winns. Wow!
There's a big outfit outside Atlanta that junkyards old boats too. Not sure if they ship, but they have a TON of boats. Lanier Marine Liquidators
