New car for my father

I know we ask these questions all the time, but my dad is itching to replace his 05 Acura TL six-speed manual. He bought it new and is thinking of getting a CPO 2012 TL with six speed. is there anything else he should be looking at? Does anyone have the current pricing for these? the dealer is asking 28.9k, it has 20k miles. and say they won't deal on it. he wants me to call them tonight.

tell him to hold out for the ND Miata, it'll be below $30k, have a 6 speed and not be one of the most boring unrewarding for the driver cars to be found. Though the front end treatment is rather polarizing in either case.

In reply to captdownshift: I like that idea for me, but for my 70 year old father likes to be able to put 4 people in the car. I probably should have added more criteria. My mother has a saab convertible, so they probably do not want 2 verts.
