My daughter just picked up her first new car last Wednesday, a brand new Mazda3. She was very excited until the brake warning light came on Friday. We immediately took the car back to Montrose Mazda in Cleveland where they diagnosed low brake fluid and the service tech told me the brake sensors were very sensitive.

On Memorial Day the brake light came back on. I called the dealer on Tuesday to say we would be bringing the car back in after my daughter ran a few errands. When I went out to the garage I noticed a puddle of brake fluid where her left front tire was parked. Panic sent in as I tried to reach her to stop her from driving the car. I finally had her paged at the gym where she was working out.

I called the dealer again and they referred me to Mazda's help line to arrange a pick-up. They could not get to her for nearly 2 hours, so I called the Service Manager and demanded they get to her sooner. When I arrived to get her the flatbed was picking up the car. I also noticed grooves showing in the right front rotor after only 5 days of driving.

They diagnosed the problem as a leaking caliper cylinder and the wheel was also damaged by the brake fluid. They will not replace the pads and rotor, they want to turn the rotor only.

I have made numerous calls to the Service Manager at the dealer and I also called twice to discuss this with the General Manager. Today, Wednesday the parts have not arrived due to the high volume of requests to the Mazda parts warehouse.

This has ruined the first new car experience for her and made her mother very nervous regarding the safety and overall quality of the vehicle.

I know a lot of you have Mazda's and I was wondering if any of you have a name and number of some one in authority at Mazda of America that I can contact?
