I have a Montecarlo and an Ultra that some mice ate. Would rather reupholster than replace, since they're very comfy and I don't need to worry about FIA certification.

Quick searching finds nothing, but I don't quite know where to search. Anyone?

Do you have the covers in somewhat complete shape? You could separate at the seams, copy the pieces to new fabric and sew them up.

I've been wanting to attempt reupholstering a seat but haven't yet.

Have you asked Sparco?

I had a set of Flofits (similar to reclinable Corbeaus) redone by a good furniture upholstery shop about 20 years ago - they did a nice job, but it definately wasn't cheap. You might ask an auto upholstery shop, though.

I've contacted Warren Caswell at SPARCO, and here was his response:

We "Sparco" keep most of the current and maybe a few of the last generation covers in stock here in the US. They typically run about 175.00. The seats that were mentioned are pretty old and we no longer have the covers available. However the original fabric is available through any of our distributors. The price is 150.00 for a 5 meter roll which is plenty to cover both seats and probably enough to do a back seat as well. The old covers are easily removable so any good upholstery shop should be able to duplicate and install them. Feel free to call us directly if you have any questions...

I waited 14 months for a Sparco EVO II cover and it never came and Sparco USA could not give a delivery date. They were very professional about it though.

Went to an upholstery shop and had it done. It was pricey only because there was not enough material left for a pattern. They had to make a pattern, then make the one I wanted (leather outside, cloth inserts). If you have enough for a pattern any shop can do it and you get to choose your material and color.

In reply to Joe Gearin:

That is way more than I expected. Huge!

If I'm going to have to do it myself, I'll get inventive... Think denim.

Agreed.

Joe probably also tried to sell Sparco on more ad space in the magazine The phone calls we get from GRM always seem to get expensive

How does a company manage to be 'very professional' about letting you wait over a year for a product?
