I'm actually at a detailer getting front windows done, he tells me ceramic will be about double. He charges 260 for dyed tint for front, side & back glass, so 500 for ceramic. The hatch and sides on my RSX were previously done, so not worth it in my case to just do ceramic fronts.

All my cars had some form of tint, so I did not do all windows. But the e30 had nothing and I did Crystalline, which is way more expensive, for $595 sides/back. I would shop around.

AND they came to my house, on a Saturday.

For reference, this is what the 3M ceramic cost on the X3:

So what can one expect to pay to have this done?

In September of last year in OKC, I paid $400 to have all windows and the windshield done.

In '99, when I bought my 1948 COE, all the glass, including windshield, was flat glass, and the guy that built it installed all dark tinted glass at least 25%, if not darker. Including the windshield. Way dark at night; took a bit of getting used to. But once I did I LOVED it, even at night. 'Course, I don't see as well anymore, and haven't driven it in about 15 years, but I know 70% windshield wouldn't be a problem.

I didn't know there were so many modern options. Glad to learn this.
