Are *they* installing the transmission, or are they having a different shop do it?

Also, for those who may not know exactly why this is a common mistake, here is the side of a Subaru transmission.

 

The filter and drain plug are right next to each other in the middle of the car, and you have to go a bit further towards the front of the car (sometimes under a skid plate) to get to the oil filter and drain plug.

GAH! The Subaru CVT. There are so many stories on the Forester website about draining the CVT transmission when trying to change the oil it boggles my mind. That's from owners too. Typically they realize what they've done by the time the trans drains so they are on the forum asking what to put in it and where the fill plug is. I mean, the oil plug is about a foot closer to the front of the car than the trans plug. Considering this almost never happens with other makes, this seems like a poor design. 2016 Forester here.
