A little research and it looks like 1200HP in that thing. Not sure if that is fact or fiction but dam that thing Is quick!!!!

^ Nope. It's a Polo, smaller than a Rabbit. IIRC the sedan and wagon versions were sold over here as the Fox for a bit in the mid-late 80's - early 90's - Wiki says i'm wrong and the Fox was the US version of the Gol made in Brazil.. Got the timeframe right though
