A friend of mine just bought one, one of the last years of what I would call the single headlight design DTS before the "over under" art and science refresh, I think '06? Seems like a nice ride for the money, particularly if you are a larger frame person who drives a lot for work in a suit. I will be watching with interest.

I have a soft spot for the more recent DTS for some reason, but I have to admit the new XTS is a pretty damn sharp car too.

No, they pretty much all live forever, they just accumulate massive amounts of non-critical problems that are so labor-intensive to fix that NOTHING gets fixed until you have a still-running car that is precisely worthless.

Also, i found a decent selection of 4.9L Devilles on my local CL. So i'd say if someone really wants a deville, get one of those: 94-95 non-concours 4.9L Deville.
