Six old Azeni 215s popped up on the local CL. I inquired as to their condition and was told, "The are nearly new and still have the nubbs on the edges. No cracks stored inside."
I know these were discontinued a while ago. I just need some street tires for the rallyx beater and I have snows for the winter. Would they be worth getting or completely dried up by now?
I ran on a set this weekend. You will not set FTD by any means but would be good for having fun.
if you don't want 'em, post the link.
I used up my last set last season, and they were still darn good until they corded. Far better than hankook rs-2's.
Not as good at the 615's, or a few of the other street tire class tires, but still darn good.
obviously not very good for rallycross though.
Depends...if they're free, they're worth getting. If they're as much as new 615s, they're not worth getting. If they're somewhere in between it's your call....you didn't mention the price.

I remember getting one of the last sets Edge had; folks were scurrying around trying to buy those things up at most any price.
I am still running a set of 215s as street tires; they're shot out as far as autoX. Got a fresh set of 615s ready to try for that.
If they are ina s good a shape as they say, they would be worth getting; lotsa folks love them!.
I have a 4 year old set with 30,000 miles and 20 autocrosses on them that just passed state inspection in PA. Still lots of fun!
They dont last long on the street, I only got 15k miles on a Neon ACR (pretty light car that wasnt really driven hard the majority of the time). They are fine as long as you dont care about driving over 60 mph in any kind of rain.

What he said. Don't ask me how I know; white knuckle story..
Yea, I found out by sliding half way though an intersection, and I was even being careful too. lol
Well most tires aren't that great after 4mm of tread depth. :) New, old, or anything in between.
