I used to feel the same way, and I still don't really don't care for any of the hatchbacks (especially the LX hatch... ugliest.. car.. EVER).

But the foxbody notch is DEAD SEXY:

box flares do make things awesomer. and P71, they don't need to make it better looking, but certainly awesomer.
