Sectional templates.

You make one side first, pull templates, then recreate them on the other side if you are winging it.

If you design it on a small scale first (as you should) you only make 1/2 of the car. Pull templates, scale them up, cut 2 of each cross-section and assemble your plugs with foam and clay, filling in the missing curves as you go. Pull molds off of that, and then cast the part.

It's a ton of work, even on a small scale. Clay modeling is a true skill, and one that won't fade away for a long time.

Bonus question: Pontiac was the first car manufacturer to put a car into production without a full-size clay model beforehand. Guess which SUV that was?

Who makes these flares?

CCP Fabrication. I believe they have them listed on ebay. They also make doors, trunk lids, hardtops, and a bunch of Porsche parts. Most of their stuff is lightweight track oriented body panels

And yes the wheels are 15x10 Bronze 6ULs

Can you see both sides of the car at the same time? Close is good enough.

I think I saw that same spoiler design on a car just the other day. It was on a Sentra & yes that car also had the (mandatory?) coffee can exhaust. Plus judging from the smell, a totally trashed out motor as well.

Been my dream build for years and years. I actually saw the blue car (or an exact replica) around 2008 on Route 1 in Mill Valley. I was my mk1 MR2, and this guy flew past me in the other direction. Totally blew my mind.
