Nice campaign: pick a new name for the Grand-Am/ALMS entity and get to go to Daytona or Sebring on the house.

I just noticed that the prize pack includes airfare to either one. I wonder if they'd just helicopter us in since we're down the street?
When you read the privacy notice you find the main purpose of the contest isn't to garner a new name for the series, but instead to gather as much information about you so that they can sell your name and you will be endlessly spammed.
American Road Race Championship
ARRC
or pronounced 'R' 'C' for short, alas no, it's not pirate speak...
NWRTS Pronounced "nWarts" = NASCAR WILL RUIN THIS SERIES
At the DP season finale at LRP I saw Scott Atherton. I introduced myself and thanked him for "for the fans", the ALMS slogan thingie. Then I told him I thought the wrong side won. He replied, "oh. Let me introduce you to Ed Bennett, prez of Grand Am.........."
Awkward.
Then they spent about 10 minutes ernestly explaining how great it is going to be. I'm not convinced but am impressed & wish them luck.
The only real drawback I see is the reduction of races, we're going to have 12 races instead of 13 + 10.

I don't think it's realistic for teams to do 23 races. Just figure the diesel to transport the car, the airfare for the team, and the tire budget.
And Ed's a nice guy. So is Scott, of course.
In reply to David S. Wallens:
I agree that 23 races would be unrealistic for the unified series, just lamenting the fact that there will be essentially 1/2 the racing there used to be. This year SWMBO & I went to NJMP, LRP x 2, & the 6 hrs of The Glen. I like having different horses & different courses. The consolidation of the 2 series makes sense based on the low car count that ALMS & Rolex have had on track the past few years, I get it. But there still will be significantly less races to watch, less chances for me to smell the racecars.
Also, the "akward" was me, not Scott & Ed. They were supernice to me, did I not mention that they spent 10 minutes selling me on the future? 20 combined minutes with a nobody like me.
they've already got a name picked out.. they are just phishing for information about people that might be willing to give them large chunks of their yearly income.
