Craftsman (or Ryobi) Inflator with a Lithium Battery

Not a good "leave in the car" option.

My mom has one of the ryobi ones, I have the extended life battery, they last a long ass time before needing to be charged, especially if you don't use them often.

The cup that goes over the lug nut breaks.

In reply to Jerry :

General Motors put some plug in cigarette  lighter air compressors in Chevy Trailblazers GMC Envoys etc.  SUV’s with air bags in their rear springs. They were light compact easy to use and had a long enough cord and hose so you could walk around and fill any tire or whatever.

When I go to junk yards I check and see if they’ve taken.  Some I find are still in the plastic bag with the cord and hose still wrapped up.  They are in the back on the passenger side in the lower right hand compartment.  Really well made!

Under $10, requires no power supply, unbreakable.

Not so useful if you have a car without a spare. I carry the Slime compressor with the can of sealant, plus some tire plugs.

What he said.  Also seems overkill for topping off a 27# tire.

I also bought one of these for the Jeep, it has alligator clips for the battery, and puts out more air, but is larger than the VIAIR 77P.  It's a lot quicker than the little Campbell Hausfeld I was using on the Jeep.  Airing up tires after wheeling isn't quite as excruciatingly forever-taking anymore.
