I totally recommend becoming a Patron. A buck a video, which works out to be about $0.60 annually...
Anyway, support what you love or whatever.
I feel like this car is the ultimate case of scope creep. Especially when they show things like the fixture used to add the material for the barb on the end of the pipes for the heater matrix. Bonkers.
I did love the duck work. Good stuff.
OMFG the time that went into that HVAC center! 200 hours to build. Even at $50 per hour, that would be a $10,000 labour bill for that component.
I feel like if I ever saw Binky in person I would probably faint like a teenager meeting a rock star. I hope it goes on a world tour once it's complete.
I have had my enjoyment tempered just a wee bit by the unrequired stuff. Electrical tilt front end? Power windows? A/C? Lovely and persistent fab, but they could have been driving Binky by now.
Patience is not one of my favorite things.

I am the opposite. I'm a builder more than a driver. For some people it's the journey that they enjoy more than the destination.

Its fabrication porn at this point, and I'm pretty ok with that.
A little disappointed at first when I realized I'd waited for months to see more work on the HVAC system and it is still not completed, but as always I enjoy the humor and just watching them fabricate stuff.

It's his car, he's doing what he wants. And it's easier to do it all now than to half-ass it together and then have to redo bodywork/paint/wiring/etc later. This way, believe it or not, is faster than "just get it done so it can be driven".
It's like engine swaps. Physically bolting the engine in is the EASY part that takes like 5% of the work. It's all the boring little details that suck up the majority of the time. And remember, Binky isn't just an engine swap, it's a complete car modernization. He wants it to have things like power locks and windows, and an HVAC system more useful than putting a dog in your lap.
^ same with my 1uz swap into my malibu. Yeah it could be running now if i rushed it and half-assed it. I rather take my time and not have to redo all of it...again

Not my implication. I build stuff right, but the motorized hood is just a stupid waste of time and money. Heater, fine. A/C? In England? In a mini? Come on, man.
Not my car. Not my circus, but I really feel that those things detract from what I think the car could be.
In reply to Streetwiseguy :
Don't get me wrong either, I'm not personally enthused about the power hood (flip/remove nose IS a nice thing to have though) or the use of 10 foot long flex hoses to the rear brakes instead of proper hardlines, but, as you pointed out, not my car/time/money/vision.
One thing I do agree wholeheardedly with, is building the car YOU want, HOW you want it, with no excuses or compromises. And, they're damned entertaining, both as humor and as fab porn.

With the level of detail put forth on that assy alone, I 'd take a second on the house, purchase an exact duplicate and charge admission for the reveal....thus creating a destination point in Decker Prairie for those that might want to even remotely view such an automotive werk d'art....off to godaddy!!!
