We debuted our VW Fox endurance racer at Barber Motorsports Park with, uh, mixed results. Some would say we retired the car early, while others would skip that euphemism and say the wheel fell off. Either way, our debut in the 24 Hours of Lemons wasn’t a total success.

I am so excited to see this car run at Daytona.
And excited to see the Fox run with the Corvette C8.R.
No lie, it makes me smile every time I see it. The in-car footage combined with the front wing (Fwing? Fring?) makes it look like you're driving it backwards at full speed.
The sanctioning body had already announced a July 4 race at Daytona, meaning IMSA would be the opener for ChampCar.

When you showed me this picture and said "Do you want to run this at Daytona" you hadn't photoshopped the Fox in yet and now I have some issues.

Just so you guys know, tech does not allow front wings in champcar. Not sure why, but they don't (although it's not in the rulebook).
You better check with them or have a plan if they say nein.
The Fox has a 92.8 inch wheelbase
A NA Miata has a 89.2 inch wheelbase
You are 3.6 inches and a rusty Miata away from GREATNESS.

Yeah, they don't make sense at Daytona, anyway. We're kicking around other ideas. We definitely need better mirrors for Daytona.

Photoshopped? No way! Just tell everyone the Fox is lapping the Corvette.
Wow, what a crappy line you took through that corner at Daytona. Were you still able to hold off the C8? Do a little blockin'? 
Rumor has it that Fat Crack Racing will have quite a few cases of Busch Latte and BBQ Ribs at the track on the 4th. Possibly a pool as well.
