Any advice as to the hot pressures for track use? Thanks

On an e36 M3 (-3.2 F, -2R camber) I ran 35-37 F and 33-35 R for autocross. At a track day I grabbed the tire gauge that had been dropped and subsequently read 3-4# low, and got 'em all pretty aired during a mid day session, probably close to 40R, 45F. They get beyond greasy to downright skeery.

I'd start about 7 or 8 pounds below where you want to end up, and add or subtract after the first session.

Also, RE01Rs don't handle heat well. Once they get toasty the grip gets shady. I sprayed the hell out of 'em after every autocross run and it helps, but buying Direzzas helps a lot more.

So lower in the rear helped get rid of understeer? I've got an E46 325i and with the pressures balanced it plows a bit on the RE-01Rs. So I should start a couple psi lower in back?

I always run lower in the rear, but my cars are usually heavier in the front.

A tire is like a spring. Higher pressure raises its rate. Stiffer in the back reduces under steer.
