On a 93 miata, to swap auto to manual: trans, pedal box, master and slave, lines, shifter, flywheel, clutch. Anything else?

In reply to Docwemple :

Going off memory but I believe the auto had less hp and the computer needs to changed for that.

I suspect that there will need to be some wiring changes to accommodate the clutch and backup light switches vs whatever the auto uses for neutral saftey and backup switches.

With Youtube as my source:

Power plant frame is different, and there are two wires that need to be bridged to make the computer believe it is in neutral (or not!) at all times. Yes, going to a manual computer may pick up a pony or two, but is not necessary. I believe autos may be down a compression point or two, but that won't stop anything from functioning.

Wiring harness is slightly different

Throttle body has an extra sensor hence the wiring

EcU different

Different cams

Can't remember if pistons were lower compression

Miata.net has some good info on this iirc

OP's initial list + PPF and driveshaft.  IIRC you can run it on an auto ECU, but it's not optimal.  Brake and clutch pedals from a manual car, gas pedal is the same.  Some wiring at the trans for backup lights and neutral safety switch.

I haven't swapped an NA, but did our NB... it's not a difficult swap.
