Yes, I know that to participate/contribute here one must have engine rehab 101 on their life resume
.
This is not one of those moments(time constraints). I'm in need of a REPUTABLE engine remanufacturer that has an intuitive web site .....GO . And do not list powertrain prods. as a possibility......thanks
Good friend was in charge of parts for a small family repair shop. Jasper flew him to tour their factory, he was really impressed. They even had a division for building race engines.

What engine are you looking for? That'll effect my recomendation.

4.2liter inline 6cyl trailblazer envoy bravada..............to be honest if time was of no consequence a '04/05 Rainer with the 5.3 would be a somewhat interesting swap build thread here???
What is a new one from General Motors worth?
What is a GM reman worth?
What is a Jasper worth?
What is the warranty program on each?
I'd be tempted to use a used low mileage engine before I bought a reman.
I've done that successfully on several E series vans.

I gave you three answers. Any one of the three will work for you. Select the price that fits, and buy one.
And don't bitch at me.
In reply to 759NRNG :
I called their number and was directed to a shop by me that sold them. . I gave them money and in a couple days I picked up an engine.

In this day and age, It's impossible to do simple things simply.

GM Goodwrench. Get some online prices and then see if your local Chevy dealer will match or beat them.
Put a GM reman 454 in the wife's truck last year with no issues whatsoever.
2 year warranty, can't remember the mileage.
If it craps out, there's a GM dealer in almost every podunk town in North America.
If you are having a shop do the swap, why not let them supply the engine with whatever warranty you want. That's about as easy as it gets.
As in, "Put a engine in it, call me when it's done."
Since the OP seems to have anger issues, I hesitated to answer, but GM is the solution. Drop it off, pick it up with a 3yr/50k mile warranty engine that can be warranted at any GM dealer coast to coast.
For years I serviced a fleet of 800 mail trucks and personally put in tens of dozens of GM crate engines. Before that I worked at the dealership and put in a bunch there too. No one does GM engines better than the General.
I have nothing useful to ad, just an anecdote about 're-built' engines. Back circa 1990, pre internet, when adverts were all in newspapers there was a guy at work needed a new engine for his Triumph Dolomite. He bought a 're-built' engine from a local company with a list of what was new. Rings, bearings, gaskets, cam etc.etc. He paid for it to be installed in the car. After instillation, just before start up they went to fill it with oil and discovered the 'rebuilders' hadn't even drained the black tar from the sump before before pressure washing the outside and hitting it with a spray can to complete the rebuild. Sure he got his money back on the engine, but was now out two removals and installations after he bought a cheaper used engine from a junk yard which at least came with a warranty. Actually this reminds me I need to relate this and another story int he worst ever performance engine threadsurection.

Dude, eat a snickers.
Find a local shop that installs Jasper engines. They usually have a sign out front. Or, go to Mr. Goodshaft and let them put in one of their remans or crate engines.
I would take a good condition used take-out over a generic reman any day of the week.

Based on most of the Trailblazers for sale on CL, this seems like the cost of the engine and it's install could easily be higher than the value of the vehicle.
If you're dead-set on reman don't read this or it will make you mad.
+1 on used. It's OEM which means it's done right (bear with me now)
There's a shop near me I use and recommend (in KC so na for you) and they'll find you a used one and sell you the warranty period you request. Engine price runs roughly 150% of what you can find on car-part.com and install was about $1-1300 for an 06 Sentra, 98 F150 and a 09 Cooper
These are all low mileage across the country (figure a few hundred for shipping, which they're pretty much all setup to do from my experience)

To all that have responded thank you for your time and to those that I FLAIRED up at my sincerest apologies.
My last encounter with the General service dept left me $743 lighter for a crank sensor replacement, throttle body clean, and a fuel injector 'service'. Not to mention wanting an additional $875 for plugs and wires....which I politely declined.
Hey did y'all know that snickers are better after having been in the freezer ? ![wink wink](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)

That’s where I put my Hersey Bars as well.
There was a reason I used the term Mr. Goodshaft. I see you have had the same experience.
Best if luck getting your replacement engine.

Seriously if I were flush with$$$$....the shop would be built with the lift 'in place' & I'd be elbows and a$$holes into this myself , but alas I'm at the mercy of others at this time....
