So Volvo and Buick both are coming out with dead-bang sexy new wagons. And I am not talking about slightly stretched hatchbacks (V60) or Outback competitors (tacky plastic and a lift kit)
New V90
New Buick Regal Tour X
It's nice to see some new wagons in the fold. Of course, Subaru and VW have always had a nice wagon but they are niche sales and the unfortunate flop of the Cadillac wagons (which I blame on pricing and the fact the base CTS looked like poo and the V wagon was such a premium) makes my expectations tepid.
I hope both of these things fly off the showroom floors. They are sexy.
Really looking forward to a head-to-head comparo of these. Looks like the Regal will come in up to $20k less, though I'd prefer to lose the AWD and body cladding. They're both very handsome and I'd like to add a Regal to the stable in a few years.
Pssst....hey Dodge (or Fiat or whomever now has you in receivership)...you've made Hellcats, and you've even made a hot rod Grand Cherokee (why?). Here's a hint...bring back the Magnum wagon. Put a Hemi in it. Put a 6 speed manual in it. You've got all the parts laying around in bins in the warehouse. Do it. Do it. Do it.
I love the Regal, but I am in complete lust over that Volvo. That thing is a frickin' supermodel.

If they get rid of the black fenders on the Buick id like it but looks to much like a crossover now. Will always love the Volvo!
The regal is cheaper but also I bet a fair bit smaller. The v90 is a big car. I want one so bad.
That V90 truly is gorgeous. I wish BMW would bring over the newer 5 wagons at some point.
First thing I'd do with that Regal is color match the cladding. Then swoon over the sexy.

Yeah, the S90 looks dandy in person. That V90 pic has me drooling.
The best thing about that Volvo, is that picture is of the base V90 too! The paint isn't even an upcharge!

I have always had a place in my heart for the Volvo wagon. My mom tooled me around town in a 1981 240dl rocking BBS basket weaves. I WANTED a v90R for my current car, but didn't have kids yet, so really could not justify it. Now with two kids, I have been secretly searching for a wagon for about 9 months. Being German centric in my automotive choices, that only leaves a few to pick from. The dream would be the M5 Wagon, however that is just not going to happen. I fell in lust with the Volvo and have been seeing a few of the XC's around town. I am inside track to get the v90 when they do start to show up. I wish every company offered a wagon, they are just so much better than an SUV.

What if I told you, you could go to a dealership and pick up a poop brown, limited slip rear wheel drive, diesel wagon? Then I told you it was at a Ford dealership.

I'm gonna keep my '95 E320 wagon for now, and likely a few more years.
The Buick looks nice, but it's hard to get just the wanted upgrades without buying a lot of uneeded stuff.

Why are all the major utility van manufacturers on a race to the bottom of how ugly they can make their vehicles? And that's even one of the better looking ones.
One of these days Volvo is going to put up pricing for the non Forrester edition of the V90. Still waiting to see what it would cost to configure one as it's so pretty. I'd probably still look at the Buick too though which is saying something for Buick.

Needs shorter overhangs. It’s got Too much nose and ass. Just like a model with those same attributes. 9/10 would not bang.
