The race has grown up. People want to come see it. How is that a bad thing?
If you can't get infield parking, just park outside and take the tram. I have done it, and it's not bad at all. Then come hang with us.
In reply to David S. Wallens:
its a good thing dave that people are attending more imsa races!i have for decades had my car in the infield with all our food drinks and sleep in it also, thats the road race 24 hour experience to me!ever since the parking pass bs it has been a problem for me.do you like to haul all your stuff in and have nowhere to have a home base in the infield?
I do miss the days of paying like $0.30 per hour to watch in the grandstands and $60 got you a 4 day ticket and an infield parking pass.
It's great the race is becoming more and more popular which will ensure it will be around for a long while; but, Mr. Chitwood should revisit how some of his operations. Like if you leave the track for any reason and you have an infield parking pass that you can be allowed back in and not denied entry because the infield is "full"
