I was hoping Mazda had a "what the berkeley were we thinking?!" moment and recalled the new 3s so they could retrofit a non-hideous front fascia. Then again, they are ugly enough to be a safety hazard so we may yet get lucky.
my mazda (assembled in Hiroshima) has FoMoCo stamped on all its parts, maybe thats why its having so many problems

that's probably it, because only Big 3 vehicles or components fail.
Which Big 3 caused Toyota's massive recall campaigns of the last 3-4 years then? Or the Tacoma frame rot?
I wasn't trying to blast Mazda, I just thought it was bizarre that basically a "refresh" car is having a recall so early. One would think the 2.5 being based on the 2.3 would use the same starter/harness/location?
