It hardly works out though.
One bad execution hardly means that it can't be done. Also, the prowler would have kicked ass if Chrysler hadn't put a V6/auto in it. A V8 manual combo would have made it a much better seller.

No it would not have, almost every single prowler owner is 60+ and wants the automatic. Its the same way new as it was in used sales. Trust me I have had 7 of them.

Also if you can get a V8 from that era into a prowler with manual and meet any sort of packing requirements and keep to the design philosophy of aluminum everything and super light weight and the balance then quit posting here and go back to your job at one of the Big three.

Wow, ruffle your collar a bit? I have always thought they looked cool but missed the mark. It looks like a hotrod and may perform well enough but it doesn't have the fit the genre, in my opinion. A manual wouldn't have helped sales, you are right there. However, getting a V8 would fit the image of a 30s hotrod better wouldn't it. Also, I don't work for the big three or even in the auto field. Chill man, we don't need to have this turn into a "regular" car forum.

From a design standpoint, I've always thought the Prowler worked out rather well.
