I have no bonnet hinges on the race car - I have the usual two pins at the back of the bonnet but instead of using a conventional closure on the front, I have another hood pin that is attached to the nose of the bonnet pointing down, with a spring so that if the front pin isn't in (which one does by reaching through the grill opening) it is obvious.
