I know we talked about these recently. I think Seth was the thread starter.
Can't find it.
Looking for a good, not expensive screwdriver set. Im tired of screwing around with rounded, crappy ones. I have 15 of each (Phillips and flathead) and only two that are worth a damn. I want to hit the reset button. This is an easter present to myself, so lets keep it under a $100 for the set please.

Also inspired by Seth's thread, when I recently had a HD gift card and needed to order a big wrench as well, I picked up this (2) pack:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-11-in-1-Screwdriver-Nut-Driver-2-Pack-MPZ00053R/304164333
They rock. For the price, i've been very happy with having a couple really nice ones floating around, and the versatility out of "one" tool as opposed to multiple sizes/bits floating around is great.
Seths thread was the one i was looking for!
Going to scrap almost everything and try the channel locks set, and see what we think. Kobalt is also running a close second. The others mentioned are just too rich for my blood.
Saltydog: how much actual use has that set seen so far? I remember high school shop, and there was only about 30 minutes of wrench/work time a day in ours. Granted, thats about what i average at home now.....
I'm a firm believer in Kline screwdrivers, but my usual go to is the red handle multi screwdrivers from Ace. I buy 6 at a time and put them everywhere.
I have Klein screwdrivers in my car tool bag but a combo of Craftsman, HF and Kobalt in the garage and house.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
I would have to say that they get more use and abuse than the usual home mechanic, assuming you use them for screwdrivers and not chisels or pry bars.
I've had them about a year now.
I like the handles, very comfortable, and the magnetic tips are a nice feature.
The one that was mangled was being used on a live 12 volt system when the student learned about conductivity.
Fortunately, the screwdriver was the only casualty.
Klein or nothing. I used to work on submarines, built class 8 trucks and managed a team of maintenance guys in a plant. They stand up to use.
