The Porsche 956/962 will always be primary in my heart. But I saw this today on Petrolicious and I was blown away. Partly it's the design, partly it's the livery, and partly it's the photographic composition. But I wanted to share!
Aston Martin AMR1 (I think)
I have a submission, or two.
I don't agree:
Also, wasn't the AMR1 the basis for the original Delta Wing?
Then again, IMSA's GTP class weren't exactly full of slouches either:
Maybe it's because I was a kid then but I think GTP/Group C cars were the best looking road racers made. The 962 is my favorite, followed by the Corvettes and Mustangs.
but the Jags were not bad either
As with anything else the Japanese could be counted on to be different. I have a model kit of a Dome waiting for me to get decals made.
I still remember the first time I saw a pair of these in action. Mind boggling to watch:
i have no idea what class this was in but i have always loved the porsche 917
something about having an open rear (LOL)
