Huh. I was not aware of the squared version. Learned something new. Impressive hunk of machinery.
yeah the Squared is really impressive and extremely capable. Then again I am 1 of 2 (other one is a current owner), members on this forum that love the G waggen.
We have to stick together! There's three of us though, Yupididit is a fan too.
The G class gets more hate on this forum than any other forum I'm a member of.

Yup I was thinking of you. WOOOHOOO 3 is better than 2. My goal is to get a 19 in the next 20 months or so. LX570 will go bye bye.

This is what you see in a foreign country when they promise you the most awesome hamburger ever, and yet when you bite into it, it's nothing like an American hamburger at all. It's not bad, but it's like eating a chicken sandwitch with baked beans and Caesar dressing on it.

Yes, but 70's Suburbans somehow manage to pull off being "not ugly".
I'm not sure "not ugly" means what you think it means...
Which is to say, beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. I love old square body American trucks but not for their beauty. I don't think they'd win any contests against the G-wagen.
If you want a 4x4 or 6x6 with portage axles and 3x locking diffs that's not a Gelandewagen or a Unimog, you might like a Pinzgauer.

Mrs. VCH says that to me sometimes, too.
