When I spend a pile of money on something I prefer it doesn't tank, so yeah I take it into consideration.

You mean the video that's linked in the first post? Yes.

Utterly embarrassed. I checked the last page, but forgot how this thread started!
Desmond wrote: Has this been discussed yet? Seems like a lot of car for the money, especially when compared to the competition. Ford is quickly becoming my favorite domestic auto manufacturer. They have really upped their game in the last few years. Aluminum block, flat plane crank, 5.2l V8 that produces over 500 horsepower and spins past 8,000 RPM. This is packaged in a chassis that features the latest suspension technology along with a Torsen, brakes that stop on a dime, a 6 speed manual transmission, bucket seats and carbon fiber wheels. ALL FOR UNDER 50k. http://www.caranddriver.com/ford/mustang-shelby-gt350

I wouldn't care whether it's an investment as most new cars are not very good investments, but at the same time I wouldn't pay over MSRP for anything.![]()
I am hung up value. 70k for a r that you can really use is ok. 107-117k for a r after price "adjustments" and you walk across the street to dodge and buy a ACR and be done with it. But the guys actually using there cars on the track bs the hard park crowd and investment crowd is 1:500

Would the ACR not have a significant markup too? I know Vipers aren't selling, but it seems like that model might be sold higher than MSRP in most cases just like the GT350. Obviously, you get a lot more track car for your money, and probably better collectability if you're into that, but is getting an ACR near MSRP reasonable?

Good to know, even though I'll never be in a position to buy one.
