It has 10k on a rebuilt motor with Pauter forged rods, Weisco forged pistons, front mounted IC, roll cage & is pretty darn fast. The guy built it for hill climb road race events, then it was rear ended. Its very driveable still - no frame damage.
Since I don't do body work looks like it would be easier to put the drivetrain in a Storm if I did get it.
A friend got it on trade at a used car lot. They don't want it & really have nothing into it since they made out big on the car they sold the person. I'll bet I could get it for a couple hundred$.
It's not a really a car I need but can't really pass it up.
Since the damage is just ugly damage, I'd personally be awful inclined to get it. Even if you just sorta hammer things back into shape and duct tape the lamps in place.

This. It sounds like the perfect winter-beater to me. Interested in trading it for something???
I would do it. They are getting rare enough, you could always part it out, sell the engine to a Lotus guy and profit. I don't remember if the floor pan is different or not in the AWD models. But if it isn't, it will also fit in a Stylus.
If there's really no frame damage I'd be all over that. And I'd want to fix it up, being an unusual car and already having a cage in it.
I would go for it. you could rally cross the hell out of it. if you crash it so what. for a couple hundred dollars it would already be at my house. ( not really SWMBO would kill me right now, but you know what I mean.)
I would buy it for a few hundred. They are becoming super rare and the parts alone would be worth it. Not sure you'd find a buyer for everyting right away, but it would all eventually sell.
I've really like those for, well forever. For that price I'd be on it like hair on a monkey. Beware though that some items (like suspension related stuff I think) is NLA. I'm sure other items can be fabbed etc to fit though.
