Bust a nut!

I've lived in Michigan my whole life and am often pleasantly surprised what can be accomplished by a good application of pb blaster, tapping the nuts/bolts/thread areas with a hammer, pb blaster soak again, and then going to town for a long lunch. Stuff tends to come apart when I come back to it.

If you've got a torch of some sort (even propane), even better, with the aid of heat I've seen exhaust nuts removed that were see through in places.

Take it from someone in the rust belt country, penetrating oil, propane torch, penetrating oil, propane torch... repeat and see if the bolt is loose in-between (I cant even change the brake pads without using this method).

The best penetrating oil to use with heat is a homemade mix of vegetable oil and acetone 50/50 or so. I put it in gravity style oilers or an empty sriracha bottle. This will get 100% of bolts out if you dont get impatient and torque the bolt heads off or whatever.

I used the small nut buster on a grade 8 metric bolt, the splitter and nut both busted at the same time, that was fun.

If you're mixing penetrating oil, add GL5 gear oil, the EP additives keep things from galling when halfway apart.
