And it was awesome.
And I totally, absolutely, did NOT schmooze my way into the Global Rallycross box seats where there was PUMA reps, action sport athletes, free beer/hot wings, and AC that was a nice respite from the almost 40*C weather.
Oh wait a minute, yes, yes I did And then I didn't get a couple pictures with Bucky Lasek and chat with him for 20 minutes, Dave Mirra, and Sverre Isachsen at Apple Bee's at midnight after the race today... or tell Ken Block we were going to beat him at PFR as he signed Jeff's shoes...
It was a good weekend. Full story to come with plenty o' picatures
I watched it on TV last night.
Entertaining, better than anything else on TV.
I was there also and I found the event cool but frustrating.
In the first two heats they couldn't even make it through the 1st chicane without crashing.
In every heat the cars broke down constantly....even in the finals which only had the better cars I think only 6 of the 10 cars managed to finish all 6 laps.
Funny how they scheduled it the same weekend as NEFR, which pulled away a few of the regular contenders...
Which regular contender did it pull away?
I was at a bar and this was on tv. I was so confused by what was going on. It just seemed like madness. Maybe with sound it would of made more sense. It just seemed like unlike other motorsports the coverage required a lot more attention to follow.
Free beer and wings?!?!?!
Who cares if it was awful racing, I'd be in.

I watched it on TV and it looked fun. The guys were definitely having a good time. And the cars were monsters.
