After...

Wow, that's pretty impressive! Actually, everything in this thread is impressive in their before/after comparisons.

My humble contribution: Not a wreck, but about a week out from going to scrapper-land before we dragged it home. Total invested to date, including 2100mi worth of gas = $1345

A swiss cheese 1970 Roadrunner. Thankfully they wanted to much for it.

My $900 X type. Needed a transfer case and the 100k mile service. Otherwise it is in very good shape.

Total investment is going to be $3000 including delayed maintenance and some preventive stuff I am doing.

In reply to pimpm3:

I don't get to keep the wheels and the timing belt skipped, so the heads are probably screwed, but the shell is clean with very little rust (which up here is RARE!), so ya I think it was a deal.

I tried to buy this almost 1 1/2 years ago. The guy started at $3400.

All I kept thinking reading that article was "maybe it would be OK to buy an RX7 with a salvage title."

On a side note it was an excellent read.

Here's my previous project. Granted, this was two different cars, but enough parts from the first were donated to the second, I'll take a little license here.

Found on the side of the road. No Title and abandoned for the city to haul away....

A few years later and lots of time and effort (And money)
